Job Description

Our Alberta based client is seeking an experienced SAP Data Migration Lead to join their project immediately on weekly part time with an average of 25 hours a week and will run for 14 weeks, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in data migration and quality assessments with a deep review focus experience, including reviewing the data migration strategies, sequencing, execution, mock cutover outcomes, and data governance effectiveness along with Data readiness project implementation across all functional areas. This will be a mostly remote work setting with twice a month for May and June expenses covered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finalize the data diagnostic report, document pros and cons for deployment options from a data migration perspective, and provide data cost estimates for each option.
  • Contribute to finalizing the go-live roadmap with a data migration timeline and resource/cost estimates, and participate in executive briefings.
  • Review data migration strategy, sequencing, and execution approach.
  • Assess completeness of extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes, and identify gaps and their resolution.
  • Evaluate data quality management and data reconciliation processes.
  • Review data governance, mapping completeness, and readiness for UAT.
  • Assess data readiness across all functional workstreams (HCM, Finance, SCM, and PM).
  • Review mock cutover outcomes and evaluate the repeatability of migration cycles.
  • Assess SOD risks related to data migration access and controls.
  • Review data-related RICEFW items and assess development completeness.
  • Conduct deep-dive workshops for data migration topics.
  • Document data risk areas, outstanding activities, and dependencies.
  • Compile the data section of the diagnostic report, including data readiness and delta-to-green across all workstreams.
