Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Data Lead to join their project immediately and will run for 12 months, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate must have extensive SAP experience leading data strategy, governance, and migration with a proven track record of leading data workstreams on large S/4HANA implementations and coordinating across functional, technical, and business teams. This hybrid role comes with the expectation of weekly or bi-weekly travel (Monday night to Thursday EOD) to the client office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the data workstream for the SAP S/4HANA implementation.
- Define and execute the data migration strategy, including data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and load activities.
- Establish data governance standards and data quality controls across the program.
- Coordinate with functional and technical teams to ensure accurate mapping of legacy data to S/4HANA structures.
- Oversee data migration cycles, testing, validation, and reconciliation.
- Manage data-related risks and ensure data readiness for key project milestones and go-live.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data ownership, data standards, and governance processes.
- Senior Data Lead experience on SAP S/4HANA implementations (mandatory).
- Strong background in enterprise data management, data migration, and data governance.
- Deep understanding of SAP data structures and migration methodologies.
- Experience coordinating large cross-functional project teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.
- CIS (Customer Information System) experience.
