Our Calgary based client is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer contractor to join their project starting immediately and will run for 1 year. This will be a hybrid work setting with 3 day's of on-site work required.
- The ideal candidate will be an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in SCM (Supply Chain Management) and FI (Financial Accounting) modules to join our team.
- This role is particularly focused on enhancements and development tasks following the go-live of the client RISE implementation.
- The candidate will also have experience in integrating with third-party applications through workflows and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), as well as a proactive, team-oriented attitude with strong soft skills.
- Energy sector experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Work on SAP ABAP development tasks related to SCM and FI modules, addressing post-go-live adjustments and custom enhancements.
- Provide expertise in integrating SAP with third-party applications, focusing on workflow and EDI.
- Collaborate with functional teams to analyze system behavior, identify issues, and suggest improvements or fixes.
- Ensure proper testing of developed solutions and assist with debugging to ensure smooth system functionality.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and facilitate successful integration and deployment.
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for custom developments and enhancements, ensuring proper knowledge transfer to the team.
