Job Description

Our Montreal based client is seeking an experienced SAP COE Lead contractor to join their project starting in February and will run for 6 months. This role will require a hybrid work setting and occasional travel to the US (2-3 times over the course of 6 months).

  • The SAP COE Lead will lead the strategic and operational management of all SAP related services for the organization, across the business processes deployed (Procure-to-Pay, Enterprise Warehouse Management, Plan to Manufacture, Order to Cash, Record-to-Report).
  • This role combines technical expertise with leadership, ensuring the delivery of exceptional operational support and application evolution aligned with business goal.
  • Experience: 10–15 years in SAP operational support and project delivery leadership role, in the implemented process areas (Procure-to-Pay including E-Commerce, Enterprise Warehouse Management, Plan to Manufacture, Order to Cash, Record-to-Report).
  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience with SAP in the Aerospace industry.
  • Manage end to end services related to SAP application landscape.
  • Ensure SAP service delivery meets established standards and service level agreement.
  • Ensure team members and vendors utilize approved maintenance and support processes (ex Ticket Management, Major Incident Management, Change Management etc).
  • Develop and implements necessary controls to identify and mitigate risks as required by the business areas included in the SAP application landscape.
  • Collaborate with software vendors to develop solutions in response to system malfunctions, software bugs, and program changes.
  • Ensure development and maintenance of required documentation of SAP configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Drive and enhance service delivery through continuous innovation.
  • Implement and sustain overall licences management.
  • Define and implement required SAP application maintenance initiatives.
  • Work with key business representatives to identify and prioritize issues, improvements, and projects.
  • Oversee SAP application new request from intake/demand management to final delivery to production, ensuring alignment to the overall original design of the SAP landscape.
  • Define and manage the transition to operations process, working closely with project delivery teams to ensure compliance.
  • Provide business and technical leadership on service delivery including business analysis, application development, customization and configuration, and quality control.
  • Manages vendor performance and develop strategic partnership with external supplier for optimal service delivery.
  • Develop and manage the SAP COE budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented without compromising quality or performance.
  • Monitor and control related expenses, identifying opportunities for cost savings.\Communicate effectively with senior management, providing regular updates on SAP COE service performance KPI, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

 

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Business Engagement: Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership & Interpersonal Skills: Proficiency in leadership, conflict resolution, negotiation, and team management.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical & Organizational Skills: Strong sense of analysis, organization, and priority management.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of project finances and contracts.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in French and English.

Additional Information

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
