Our global based client is seeking an experienced SAP SCM Retail Subject Matter Expert with Customer Activity Repository (CAR) to join their project immediately and will run for 3 months, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate should have strong and holistic Order-to-Cash (OTC) and/or Logistics execution expertise (SD, MM, and retail-specific processes), with a proven track record of improving processes and system usage. This will be a fully remote work setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Experience working within SAP ECC environments; exposure to or project experience in S/4HANA (Retail or Fashion) strongly preferred.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with SAP CAR (Customer Activity Repository), including POS Data Management, sales data aggregation, and omnichannel transaction visibility.
- Deep understanding of how CAR supports real-time sales consolidation, inventory visibility, and integration with upstream/downstream retail systems.
- Partner with client stakeholders to assess current-state retail processes across sales, inventory, and logistics flows.
- Identify gaps in system usage, transactional integrity, and data flow between CAR, SD, MM, and related modules.
- Facilitate workshops to analyze process pain points and recommend improvements aligned to retail best practices.
- Provide configuration guidance and functional support to optimize OTC and logistics processes, including pricing, promotions, returns, and inventory movements.
- Develop and present a future-state roadmap, outlining process enhancements, system optimizations, and improved CAR utilization.
- Work collaboratively with the existing team to ensure sustainable process improvements and knowledge transfer.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills required in a cross-regional (South American) environment.
- Consultant should bring a holistic retail pedigree, connecting front-end customer activity, omnichannel sales, and backend supply chain impacts.
