Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Developer Lead to join their project immediately and will run for 2 years, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader with deep expertise in enterprise integration platforms and must be capable of diving into technical details while effectively guiding a remote team to implement robust and scalable solutions. This is a fully remote work setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy integration flows using BTP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh, Open Connectors, etc.)
  • Architect end-to-end integration solutions (A2A, B2B, B2G) following SAP’s best practices and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
  • Develop custom adapters, scripts (Groovy/JavaScript), and leverage pre-packaged integration content.
  • Implement API-first strategies, design APIs, and enforce security policies (OAuth, certificates, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot complex integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize performance.
  • Stay updated with the latest BTP and Integration Suite capabilities and assess their applicability.
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of offshore BTP developers and integration specialists.
  • Define development standards, guidelines, and review code/artifacts to ensure quality.
  • Manage task allocation, sprint planning, and delivery timelines in collaboration with project managers.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer, conduct training sessions, and ensure team competency growth.
  • Bridge communication between onshore stakeholders and offshore team, ensuring clarity in requirements and expectations.
  • Collaborate with functional teams, architects, and business analysts to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure integrations are robust, scalable, and aligned with SLAs (monitoring, logging, alerting).
  • Participate in agile ceremonies, provide technical estimates, and manage risks.
  • Oversee documentation of integration designs, operational procedures, and runbooks.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for integration projects using Git, Jenkins, or similar.
  • Ensure compliance with security, data protection, and governance policies.
  • Coordinate testing (unit, integration, performance) and support during UAT and post-go-live.

Additional Information

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
