Our Toronto-based client is seeking a SAP ABAP HR Developer to join their project effective immediately and will run for six months with the possibility of extension. The ideal candidate would have gained experience on an ECC - HCM/HR to SuccessFactors Migration project and have experience with the Data Migration tool Infoporter. This is a fully remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze existing HR data structures in SAP ECC (PA/OM modules).
Identify and extract master data and organizational data relevant for migration (e.g., employees, positions, infotypes).
Collaborate with HR business analysts to understand data mappings and business rules.
Develop or modify custom ABAP programs to:
Extract data in the format required by Infoporter.
Perform data validations and cleansing.
Create reports or utilities to assist with data reconciliation and audits.
Configure and execute Infoporter for data migration from SAP ECC to SuccessFactors.
Map infotypes and fields from ECC to the SuccessFactors Employee Central (EC) data model.
Manage Infoporter migration templates, conversion rules, and execution sequences.
Troubleshoot errors or mismatches encountered during migration runs.
Ensure proper formatting and transformation of legacy data to meet EC requirements (e.g., date formats, field lengths, code mappings).
Use ABAP routines and/or BAdIs (Business Add-Ins) for custom transformations during the Infoporter process.
Support data validation activities post-migration by providing extracts, logs, and reports.
Assist QA teams and business users in data verification within both ECC and SuccessFactors environments.
Document all technical specifications, migration steps, and transformation rules.
Provide technical training or handover sessions to other developers or support teams.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
