Our Toronto-based client is seeking an experienced SAP Senior Project Manager to join their team immediately on a one-year contract, with a strong possibility of extension. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years in the SAP domain, including numerous years of hands-on functional experience, and at least 5 years of SAP project management experience. This must include leading a minimum of two full-cycle projects; experience with S/4HANA implementations is ideal. The candidate must be a proven Senior SAP Project Manager with experience managing large-scale SAP and Enterprise Digital Delivery projects. This will primarily be a remote position that will involve approximately 20-30% travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Power & Utilities, Oil, Gas and/or Energy Experience is a bonus.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of the SAP S/4HANA implementation project, ensuring it is on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead a cross-functional team of functional and technical consultants, internal IT staff, and business stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing communication at all levels.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating when necessary.
- Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs using formal change control processes.
- Ensure project adherence to established methodologies, governance frameworks, and quality standards.
- Facilitate key project ceremonies, including steering committee meetings, sprint planning, and status reviews.
- Drive business process analysis and redesign workshops to ensure the solution meets business objectives.
