Job Description

Our Toronto-based client is seeking an experienced SAP Asset Performance Management (APM) Consultant to join their project starting in January 2026 for a one-year contract with the possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate will have extensive SAP APM hands-on experience and the ability to configure systems, understand requirements, and meet project goals. This is a hybrid role, with the exact on-site schedule to be confirmed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on configuration and customization of the SAP APM module based on detailed technical specifications, focusing on Asset Strategy, Maintenance Management, and Technical Asset Management.
  • Build and maintain APM master data (e.g., Functional Locations, Equipment, Asset BOMs, Measurement Points) according to defined standards.
  • Execute unit and integration testing for configured APM functionalities, document results, and resolve identified issues.
  • Assist in the implementation of predictive maintenance and asset health monitoring scenarios.
  • Support the end-to-end implementation process by executing assigned tasks within the project plan for SAP APM deployments.
  • Provide direct support for the integration of SAP APM with Plant Maintenance (PM), S/4HANA, and conditional monitoring systems.
  • Assist with data cleansing, mapping, and migration activities for asset master data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in development, testing, and production environments.
  • Work under guidance to analyze business requirements and help translate them into functional configuration within the SAP APM system.
  • Collaborate effectively with other module consultants (PM, PP, EHS) to ensure cross-functional process integration.
  • Create and update detailed technical documentation for configurations, test scripts, and user procedures.
  • Participate in client workshops to gather requirements and demonstrate configured solutions.
  • Assist in conducting end-user training sessions and provide post-go-live support to ensure successful adoption.
  • Work directly with business users to understand issues and provide hands-on resolution and support.
