Job Description

Our Vancouver based client is seeking for an experienced Senior Senior SAP Finance (FI) and Revenue Accounting (RAR) Consultant to join their project immediately, and will run until August 2026, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 7+ years of hands-on experience with large-scale SAP deployments in Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) and CPE. This includes strong knowledge of FI-AR and SD-FI integration (covering billing, pricing, account determination, and event-based revenue recognition Hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA RAR (IFRS 15) is essential, including performance obligations, fulfillment events, and contract asset/liability postings. This is a hybrid role requiring monthly travel. The schedule involves one week in downtown Toronto, one week in Vancouver, and two weeks working remotely each month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and integrate Finance Revenue Streams with Sales & Distribution (SD), including handling provisional, final, and invoice adjustments.
  • Lead scenario identification, end to end configuration, baseline system setup, and integration testing for revenue processes.
  • Provide technical and functional support for Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) requirements.
  • Hands on experience with SAP S/4HANA RAR (IFRS 15), including performance obligations, fulfillment events, and contract asset/liability postings.
  • Ability to design custom solutions (e.g., user exits/BAdIs, BRF+, configuration enhancements) to support deferred revenue recognition until transfer of ownership.
  • Strong understanding of SD–FI integration (billing, pricing conditions, account determination, event-based revenue recognition).

 Nice to Have

  • Mining Industry experience.
  • CPA designation.
  • Experience with event-based revenue recognition variants (e.g., milestone, time-based, transfer-of-control triggers).
  • Exposure to data migration for revenue contracts and historical adjustments.
  • Familiarity with pricing/valuation scenarios common in mining (e.g., provisional pricing, revaluation).

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
