Our Vancouver based client is seeking for an experienced SAP Commodities Management Lead to join their project immediately and will run until February 2027, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in SAP Commodities Management and Sales and Distribution, or equivalent relevant experience must be capable of driving and leading the client through the end-to-end project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a small team across Canada and LATAM through the implementation.
- Conduct and lead functional design workshops with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze processes, and design optimal SAP S/4HANA solutions.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows) objects. This includes authoring detailed functional specifications, coordinating with technical teams (ABAP/developers), and validating the final build.
- Design, document, build, and implement core customizing and configuration in SAP S/4HANA in relevant modules (e.g., Commodities Management, SD). Ensure all solution designs and configurations are thoroughly documented.
- Provide expert-level support for all testing phases. This includes preparing and executing unit tests, supporting the Integration Test (SIT) team, and facilitating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business users to ensure solutions meet requirements.
- Lead data design activities, define migration rules and mappings, and oversee data cleansing and validation efforts to ensure accurate and successful data migration from legacy systems to SAP S/4HANA.
- Manage cutover planning and execution activities, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system. Provide dedicated hypercare support immediately post-go-live to resolve critical issues and stabilize operations.
- SAP Energy Mining experience is a nice to have.
