Our Montreal based client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Custom Code Remediation Specialist to join their project starting immediately and will run for 3-4 months. This will be a hybrid work setting with occasional travel required.
- The Senior SAP Custom Code Remediation Specialist will come from a strong ABAP and BTP background.
- This role focuses on optimizing and ensuring compatibility of custom code within an SAP environment, particularly during the transition to S/4HANA.
- Extensive experience with SAP ABAP development and custom code remediation.
- Strong understanding of BTP (Business Technology Platform).
- Experience with S/4HANA, ECC, and HANA 2.0 Database environments.
- Proven ability to optimize and streamline custom code, ensuring compatibility with new SAP environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Analyze and adapt custom-developed ABAP code to ensure compatibility with the new SAP environment (S/4HANA, HANA 2.0 Database).
- Optimize system performance by refining or eliminating inefficient custom code.
- Simplify and standardize custom code to align with SAP’s best practices.
- Ensure that custom code adheres to the architectural and programming standards of the S/4HANA platform.
- Work with SAP teams to validate the impact of custom code on the overall system functionality and performance.
- Provide expertise in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to custom code in the context of SAP migration.
- Experience in retail or similar industries undergoing SAP migrations.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori and S/4HANA architecture.
