Job Description

Our Montreal based client is looking for a Bilingual (English & French) SAP Cutover Coordinator to join their project starting May 20th, 2025  and will run for 12 months with a chance for a further extension. This will be a hybrid work setting with the exact amount of on-site work required to be confirmed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The SAP Cutover Coordinator will plays a critical role in managing our client's transition from to their new SAP environment to ensure that all activities required for go-live are planned, coordinated, and executed smoothly. 

1. Cutover Planning and Strategy

  • Develop a comprehensive cutover plan that includes timelines, tasks, responsible personnel, and dependencies.

  • Collaborate with project managers, functional and technical teams to define cutover activities for each workstream (e.g., finance, supply chain, HR).

  • Identify risks, constraints, and dependencies across systems and teams to ensure a smooth transition.

2. Stakeholder Coordination

  • Serve as the central point of contact for all cutover-related activities.

  • Coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders, including business leads, IT teams, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.

  • Ensure all stakeholders understand their responsibilities and timelines during cutover.

3. Readiness and Validation

  • Facilitate cutover readiness assessments and Go/No-Go decision checkpoints.

  • Ensure all pre-cutover activities (data migration, environment preparation, user access setup, etc.) are completed.

  • Coordinate dry runs and mock cutovers to validate timing, sequences, and overall cutover plan effectiveness.

4. Execution Management

  • Oversee and manage the cutover execution across all relevant SAP and non-SAP systems.

  • Monitor progress in real-time, troubleshoot issues, and escalate risks as needed.

  • Maintain detailed status tracking and reporting throughout the cutover window.

5. Communication and Reporting

  • Provide clear and timely updates to project leadership and executive sponsors.

  • Create and distribute cutover progress reports, dashboards, and post-cutover summaries.

  • Document lessons learned and recommend improvements for future cutovers.

6. Post-Cutover Support

  • Ensure transition to steady-state support and operational teams.

  • Coordinate hypercare activities, including issue triage and resolution tracking.

  • Support data reconciliation and system stabilization efforts.

Additional Information

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
