Our Ontario based client is seeking for an experienced SAP Data Archiving Lead to join their project immediately and will run until December 2026, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in providing leadership and advisory support for SAP data archiving initiatives. This is a remote role that requires 20% travel to client offices for key project milestones.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and advise the archiving team on the design, setup, and execution of SAP data archiving.
- Define archiving strategy, scope, and sequencing aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with SAP functional and technical teams to identify archivable objects across SAP modules.
- Configure and optimize archiving rules, retention policies, and data extraction logic.
- Ensure data integrity, auditability, and compliance throughout the archiving process.
- Support testing, validation, and sign-off of archived data.
- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to internal teams.
- Strong experience as an SAP Data Archiving Lead or Architect.
- Solid understanding of SAP data structures and archiving objects.
- Experience in large-scale SAP transformation or modernization programs.
- Strong stakeholder communication and advisory skills.
- Hands-on experience with JIVS (JiVS IMP or JiVS Archive) is an asset.
