Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced SAP Device Management Consultant to join their project on a long term contract. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with SAP Device Management along with project implementations in a consultant capacity or related roles. This will be a hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support SAP Device Management implementations, covering device lifecycle management from procurement, installation, and maintenance to reading, replacement, and retirement.
- Design and configure device master data structures, including device categories, registers, rate-based readings, and installation hierarchies, ensuring alignment with business operations and regulatory requirements.
- Manage device installation, removal, and exchange processes, handling move-in/move-out scenarios, device connections to contracts, and integration with billing and customer service modules.
- Oversee meter reading cycles and validation, defining reading schedules, route management, exception handling, and validation rules to ensure accurate consumption data for billing.
- Integrate SAP Device Management with SAP IS-U/CRM, AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure), and third-party head-end systems, ensuring seamless data exchange for remote readings and real-time device monitoring.
- Define and implement device replacement strategies, including mass replacement programs, retrofitting, and upgrade planning, while minimizing operational disruption and maintaining data integrity.
- Provide technical leadership and support to functional teams, troubleshoot device-related issues, conduct user training, and establish governance frameworks for device inventory, stock management, and lifecycle reporting.
