Our Ottawa based client is seeking experienced SAP Disconnected Operations Architect to join their project on a long term contract. The ideal candidates should have Canadian security clearance of at least Reliability level, with Secret preferred and extensive SAP Disconnected Operations Architect implementation experience. This will be a hybrid role with the exact amount of on-site scheduled days to be confirmed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expertise in SAP S/4HANA and mobile integration.
- Experience in data synchronization and conflict resolution.
- Strong understanding of edge computing and networking.
- Design architecture for SAP systems operating in disconnected, offline, or intermittent network environments (e.g., mobile, remote, tactical operations).
- Define data synchronization strategies between disconnected nodes and central SAP systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA).
- Implement conflict resolution mechanisms for data changes occurring offline across multiple nodes.
- Architect local data storage, caching, and compaction for bandwidth constrained or latency sensitive operations.
- Lead integration of SAP with mobile devices, edge computing, and field applications under disconnected scenarios.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and encryption for offline data at rest and in transit.
- Define reconnect and resynchronization workflows, including delta handling and error recovery.
- Collaborate with security architects to meet compliance requirements (e.g., GoC, defence, or controlled goods regulations).
- Develop rollback and data reconciliation procedures for unreliable network handovers.
- Document disconnected operations patterns, offline data models, and synchronization topology.
