Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) Functional Business Analyst to join their team on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience in SAP Finance functional roles with hands-on SAP configuration skills and in-depth knowledge of core Finance processes in Accounts Payable (AP) and Asset Accounting (FI-AA). Should also have proven experience leading or participating in end-to-end SAP implementation or transformation projects, ideally including brownfield migrations. This is a hybrid role that requires working on-site 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand business processes, challenges, requirements, and opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze and document current-state ("as-is") Finance processes and support the design of future-state processes.
- Leverage process analysis methodologies and tools, including insights from Signavio process mapping where applicable.
- Support SAP data cleanup, data governance, and master data improvement initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into functional SAP solutions and configuration requirements.
- Perform hands-on SAP Finance configuration and support system enhancements.
- Support initiatives across core Finance processes, with an initial focus on: Accounts Payable Asset Accounting.
- Related financial processes and integrations Participate in solution design workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
- Develop functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on enhancements and integrations.
- Support testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect resolution.
- Assist with the development of process documentation, training materials, and end-user adoption activities.
- Ensure consistency and standardization of SAP processes across multiple business locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience working with SAP Signavio or other business process management tools.
- Mining, manufacturing, industrial, or asset-intensive industry experience.
- Experience working across multiple geographic locations or business units.
- Experience supporting global or multi-site SAP process standardization.
- French and English bilingualism is strongly preferred.
