Our Calgary Based client is looking for an experienced SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) & Project Systems (PS) Analyst to join their team on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate should have 10 + years of SAP configuration experience in the Finance & Controlling (FICO) module and 5 + years in the Project Systems (PS) module with strong configuration experience of CO-PA and other SAP modules such as (MM, CS, SD, PM, PP). This is a hybrid role requires to work on-site 3 days per week (Monday and Friday work from home).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical IT advice and mentoring in the SAP Finance, Controlling and Projects IT functional and configuration areas.
- Provide SAP system support and guidance ensuring daily operations are running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve daily issues in support of the SAP FICO and PS modules.
- Work directly with various business areas specifically on accommodating custom engineering accounting, project cost/profitability, COPA and results analysis reporting and issues.
- Drive analysis and efforts in designing, developing and delivering changes.
- Optimize SAP FICO and Projects Systems functionality.
- Mentor and collaborate with other analysts in support of SAP systems and the business users in all client regions.
- Build strong relationships with key finance stakeholders across multiple business units.
- Follow technology standards, policies and support processes.
- Work with the business teams to ensure issues are clearly understood, alternative options are explored, and various business stakeholders understand proposed solutions advantages/disadvantages.
- Facilitate the testing of new IT solutions with the business as required to ensure well delivered solutions.
- This includes working with Subject Matter Experts and other groups in IT to develop and execute test scripts as part of project test phases and that align with business requirements.
Nice to have:
- Experience with manufacturing business, COPA and results analysis exposure is an advantage.
- Familiarity with SAP Concur is preferred.
- S/4 experience is a major asset
