Our Ontario based client is seeking an experienced SAP HCM Benefits Consultant to join their project immediately and will run for 1 year, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of hands-on SAP HCM Benefits experience with deep expertise configuring SAP Benefits Administration within Canadian organizations, and strong SAP integration knowledge across Payroll, Time Management, Benefits, and Personnel Administration along with experience working within highly customized SAP HCM environments and demonstrate the ability to reverse-engineer existing SAP configurations and undocumented business processes. This will be a fully remote work setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure and support SAP HCM Benefits functionality, including: Canadian Benefits Administration, Benefits Eligibility Rules, Enrollment Processes, Life Events, Benefits Plan Configuration, Seniority Rules and Calculations
- Understand the downstream impacts of configuration changes across Payroll, Time Management, Organizational Management, and Personnel Administration.
- Analyze and reverse-engineer highly customized SAP Benefits configurations where documentation is limited.
- Support complex unionized business rules related to benefits eligibility, collective agreements, and employee seniority.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, and technical teams to design and implement sustainable SAP HCM solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and recommend configuration improvements aligned with SAP best practices.
- Develop and maintain functional documentation to build long-term institutional knowledge.
- Participate in testing, defect resolution, and production deployments.
- Provide guidance on solution design and process optimization across the Benefits workstream.
