Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced SAP HCM Functional Specialist to join their organization for an employment contract starting immediately and will run for 18 months. This will be a hybrid work setting with the exact number of on-site and remote days to be confirmed.

• The role requires expertise in SAP Payroll, Time Management, Benefits, and interface building experiences. Hands on experience in these areas, preferably with at least 2 end-to-end implementation and support projects.
• The ideal candidates will understand the current environment to help migrate to the new environment.
• Demonstrates a deep understanding of Canadian payroll Tax rules and regulations to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Configure and customize PCRs within the SAP system to meet specific Canadian payroll requirements, such as deductions, taxes, and benefits calculations.
• Develop and maintain Schemas that define the sequence of operations in payroll processing, including wage types, calculations, and deductions specific to Canadian payroll practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Canadian payroll Tax rules, PCRs, and Schemas to ensure compliance with legal requirements and accurate payroll results.
• Lead requirements gathering, perform fit-gap analysis, design, prepare functional specifications, functional unit testing, and support user acceptance testing for interfaces build through middleware PO/CPI.
• Additionally, knowledge of HR ABAP is beneficial, along with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions.
• Understanding of integrating SAP HCM modules with external systems using APIs, OData, and REST.
• Understanding SAP FIOIRI Apps, their use and application to the business processes
• SAP HCM certification is preferred.
• SAP HANA Experience is an advantage.

• 5 to 10 years’ experience with configuration in HCM & Payroll functional area.
• The role requires SuccessFactors experience as the transition is immediate from HCM to SuccessFactors. 
• University Degree in Computer Science or related area from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrate a in a high-demanding environment, where managing multiple priorities, resolving issues promptly, and meeting challenging timelines in a fast-paced work setting are essential aspects of the role.
• Possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think on their feet to address urgent payroll-related issues efficiently.

• Construction industry experience is an asset.
• Proficient with Microsoft suite products.
• Demonstrated ability to perform business impact assessments and troubleshoot complex integration issues.
• Demonstrated ability to provide timely services to customers to maintain high satisfaction levels.
• Demonstrated experience in gathering business requirements.
• Helping educate end users on alternatives for system configuration and design.
• Supporting clients through decision making and process design.
• Ensuring deliverables are completed within deadlines.
• Ensuring the quality of deliverables meet expectations.
• Acting as a subject matter expert on project.
