Our North American based client is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Functional Consultant to join their project on a long term contract. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with SAP Industry-Specific Utilities, specifically in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), along with proven experience supporting AMI 3-tier implementations including master data synchronization, register reading, time series calculation, time series push, remote connect/disconnect, and internal data management within EDM. This will be a primarily remote but travel is required once every 3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance SAP IS-U AMI functionality within a utility landscape.
- Work closely with business and technical teams on AMI process design and implementation.
- Support integrations between SAP IS-U and external MDMS platforms.
- Facilitate functional design discussions and provide best practice recommendations.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP IS-U solutions.
- Support testing, troubleshooting, defect resolution, and implementation activities.
- Collaborate with integration, EDM, and meter operations teams.
- Experience working within utility industry environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience working on large-scale utility transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of smart meter operations and utility integration frameworks.
- Utility industry experience is required.
- Strong preference for candidates with enterprise AMI integration experience.
- Candidate should be comfortable working across both functional and technical stakeholder groups.
