Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced SAP IS-U Billing Lead to join their project on a long term contract. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with SAP Utilities along with project implementations in a lead capacity or related roles. This will be a hybrid role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end SAP IS-U billing implementations, managing the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering and blueprinting to go-live and post-implementation support, ensuring timely and accurate billing operations.
- Design and configure billing master data and pricing structures, including rate determination, rate categories, operands, billing schemas, and installation facts, ensuring alignment with complex tariff structures and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the entire billing cycle execution, managing mass billing runs, billing order creation, invoice generation, and exception handling, while optimizing performance for large-scale utility customer bases.
- Manage budget billing and installment plan processes, configuring periodic billing, advance payment calculations, adjustment runs, and reconciliation of actual vs. budgeted consumption.
- Lead integration with device management, CRM, and FICA (Financial Contract Accounting), ensuring seamless data flow from meter readings and contracts through to invoicing, dunning, and collections.
- Define and implement billing reversal, correction, and adjustment frameworks, handling retroactive billing, rebilling scenarios, and mass corrections due to regulatory changes or data inaccuracies.
- Establish governance, testing, and cutover strategies, leading system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), performance tuning, and go-live activities, while providing technical leadership and mentorship to billing functional consultants.
