Job Description

Our Montreal based client is seeking an experienced SAP Materials Management (MM) and Production Planning/Process Industries (PP/PI) Specialist Specialist to join their team immediately and will run for 1 year with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in SAP MM, PP/PI, and project implementations. This is a hybrid role that requires working on-site 2 - 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, customize, and maintain SAP MM (procurement, inventory management, valuation) and PP/PI (master recipes, process orders, batch management) modules to support business operations.
  • The consultant will work independently on multiple projects, and be required to perform the MM and PP/PI configuration, and regression testing.
  • The candidate should be able to perform routine support activities as well as ITSM functions such as Remedy ticket resolution.
  • They should have a firm understanding of integration principles, how OT systems work (i.e. OPC protocol) and service oriented (COA) architecture for system integration.
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, system designs, and configuration solutions within MM and PP/PI.
  • Provide day-to-day production support, troubleshoot system issues, and resolve incidents related to procurement, material movements, and process manufacturing.
  • Lead or participate in system upgrades, patches, and enhancement packs, ensuring minimal disruption to MM and PP/PI functionalities.
  • Design and execute system testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance) for new developments, changes, and migrations within the SAP landscape.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (warehouse, production, quality, finance) to ensure seamless integration between MM, PP/PI, and other SAP modules.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training, create documentation (process flows, work instructions), and drive continuous improvement initiatives for MM and PP/PI processes.
