Job Description

Our Toronto-based client is seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Canadian Payroll Consultant to join their team on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of ECP/S4 Payroll experience, with a proven background in multiple end-to-end SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) implementations and deep, hands-on expertise in Canadian payroll legislation, tax reporting, and year-end processes. This role requires strong functional configuration skills and the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders to translate requirements into system solutions. This will be a remote role with minimum travel required once every 3 months. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, configuration, testing, and deployment of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) solutions to meet complex Canadian business requirements.
  • Provide deep functional expertise in Canadian payroll legislation, including federal and provincial tax regulations, garnishments, benefits, and statutory reporting (e.g., T4, RL-1, ROE).
  • Manage and execute semi-annual and year-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) and Revenu Québec.
  • Conduct workshops to gather business requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and propose best-practice solutions.
  • Provide ongoing production support, troubleshoot, and resolve complex payroll processing and integration issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on integration points between ECP and other modules like Employee Central (EC), Time & Attendance, and Finance (FI).
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for payroll cycles and legislative updates.
  • Create and deliver end-user training and documentation to ensure successful adoption and knowledge transfer.
  • Stay current with upcoming Canadian legislative changes and proactively configure the system to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support data migration and validation activities for implementation and enhancement projects.
