Our Toronto based client is seeking for an experienced SAP Finance (FI) Functional Lead to join their team on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate should have at least 10+ years of S/4HANA project implementation experience, including one end-to-end implementation and one production support project specifically in GL/AR, Multi-GAAP, Group Reporting, and Consolidation and Master Data Governance (MDG) covering configuration, modeling, workflow, Fiori UI, and data integration. This is a hybrid role with 2 days on-site per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding of data mapping, enterprise structure in S/4, integration with non-SAP systems (upstream/downstream).
- Gather requirements, propose technical solutions with tech teams, analyze options, and document functional specs.
- Act as the main liaison between Business and Technology.
- Promote the SAP platform internally and manage third-party relationships.
- Report progress, contribute to business cases, analyze changes/impacts/risks, and recommend actions. May support multiple projects.
- Manage expectations, negotiate, and communicate complex matters simply to all levels, including executives.
- Interact with business, technology, consultants, and third parties.
- Engage all organizational levels, from team members to executives, for requirements and sign-offs.
- Collaborate with internal Finance, Legal, Compliance, Audit, and business unit teams.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in the Financial industry.
