Our Toronto based client is seeking for an experienced Data Manager Lead to join their team on a full time permanent basis. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 7 + years of experience in Data Management, Data Warehousing, or Master Data Management, coupled with proven hands-on data governance experience with SAP S/4HANA, demonstrated leadership in a full-cycle implementation, and a deep understanding of SAP Data Objects and dependencies. Additionally, migration leadership is essential, including proven experience managing end-to-end data work streams from extraction and cleansing to transformation and validation cycles (Mock Loads, ITC, UAT, Cutover). This will be a hybrid role with the exact amount of on-site scheduled days to be confirmed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the data team instilling accountability, ownership, and execution excellence.
- Assess current data governance policies, maintenance practices, understanding of data relationships, operating procedures and identify challenges and gaps, including inefficiencies.
- Provide recommendations for improvement and associated action plans.
- Define and implement best practices for data maintenance within the data management team and data stewards residing in the organization.
- Review and refine standard operating procedures for the data management team and decentralized data stewards to ensure consistency and solid data integrity when managing all data objects.
- Ensure standard operating procedures are kept up to date.
- Review and assess the need for data management tools and reporting to enable best practice data maintenance, integrity, and controls.
- Certification in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) or Data Management a nice to have.
