Our Toronto based client is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Technology Workstream Lead to join their project immediately on a long term contract. The ideal candidate should have 12 to 15+ years of total experience, including 5+ years in enterprise architecture and at least one full-lifecycle ERP program in a senior technical role. Should also have led technology strategy across architecture, integration, and data not limited to SAP and have delivered ERP scale integration on modern middleware such as SAP Integration Suite, MuleSoft, Boomi, or Azure Integration Services. Also owned enterprise-scale data migration and cleansing, with a strong focus on the business-side effort where most programs stumble. additionally should have successfully led mixed technical teams comprising employees, contractors, and system integrators. This will be a primarily remote work with minimal travel to the client office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end solution architecture: S/4HANA in the context of the firm application landscape, integration patterns, and the target-state technology roadmap.
- Own the integration strategy and delivery inbound pricing tool feed, HR and identity, banking, collaboration platforms and downstream reporting; select patterns (API, event, batch) and hold the standards.
- Own data migration and data cleansing end to end: strategy, profiling, cleansing execution with the business, mapping, load cycles, reconciliation and mock-run governance.
- Own workflow and interface design across the estate, including approval flows spanning SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Own technical extensibility governance on public cloud in-app versus side-by-side, BTP footprint, and the standing case against custom build.
- Own security architecture and role design interlock, identity and access management, and single sign-on.
- Own environment and landscape management, transport/release process, and the quarterly SAP release cycle.
- Own technical non-functional requirements: performance, availability, monitoring, and the cyber and data residency posture for Canadian data.
- Lead architects, integration developers, data engineers and the SI technical team; represent Technology at Design Authority Council.
Preferred Experience:
- S/4HANA Public Cloud specifically, including BTP and extensibility limits; professional services or partnership environments; Microsoft-centric estates (Azure, Entra ID, Power Platform); TOGAF or equivalent; Canadian data residency and privacy exposure; bilingual (EN/FR).
