Job Description

 Our Toronto based client is seeking a very senior SAP Solution Architect to join their organization immediately that will run for 6 months with potential for extension. This will be a remote work setting ,candidates can be based anywhere in North America with occasional travel required.

  • The SAP Solution Architect will be responsible for reviewing the proposed designs created by the CMM System Integrator.
  • This role involves a deep understanding of SAP modules, architectural best practices, and the ability to work closely with CMM project stakeholders both on the business and technical teams to deliver a robust and scalable Contract Market Modernization solution.
  • The ideal Candidate should have Solution and Enterprise Architecture experience.
  • Must have Heavy IS-Oil & Gas, with Billing and Device Management.
  • Integration experience to IS-U is a nice to have.
  • Work with CMM stakeholders, and CMM Systems Integrator, on reviewing recommended Solution Design. The comprehensive SAP solution should address business requirements, integrating various SAP modules and ensuring seamless compatibility with existing systems.
  • A strong understanding of IS Oil & Gas, and how it will integrate with SAP IS-U is a must.
  • SAP BTP is being leveraged and must be able to provide technical guidance on how SAP BTP should be used and integrated with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Fully assess the impacts of proposed designs and make appropriate recommendations to project and leadership teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to project teams and peers, ensuring that solutions are designed and implemented according to best practices and industry standards.
  • Participate in project design sessions, and architecture reviews.
  • Ensure SAP solution has minimal customizations and is the best solution in terms of sustainability and future growth.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, review technical requirements, and ensure that SAP solutions meet or exceed expectations.
  • Identify existing issues and pro-actively recommend solutions for upcoming issues.
  • Oversee the integration of SAP solutions with other enterprise systems, ensuring data consistency and process efficiency across the organization.
  • Ensure proposed solutions allow for optimized performance of SAP solutions, addressing any issues and implementing improvements to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
  • Ensure and create/maintain detailed documentation of SAP solutions, including architecture diagrams, configuration settings, and process flows.
  • Ensure that SAP solutions comply with Enbridge regulations and security standards, implementing measures to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Stay up to date with the latest SAP developments and industry trends, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance the organization's SAP landscape, and provide insight as you review CMM documentation & proposed designs.
  • Including working with Enterprise Architecture, and peer groups to identify optimal solutions that align with Business and TIS strategy.

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or SAP certifications are preferred.
  • Extensive experience in SAP solution design and implementation, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands on experience with SAP modules & Industry standards (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution, SAP IS Oil & Gas, SAP BTP) and integration techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Additional Information

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
