Job Description

Our Toronto client is seeking an experienced SAP Snowflake Data Engineer to join their project starting early May and will run 6-12 months initially with a chance for extensionThis will be a remote work setting and candidates can be based anywhere in Canada.

  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in building infrastructure within Snowflake for transferring data from ECC (Enterprise Core Component) to the Snowflake platform.
  • This role involves defining and identifying the data to be moved from ECC to Snowflake, as well as testing to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and business objectives.
  • Design and implement infrastructure within Snowflake for efficient data transfer from ECC.
  • Define and identify the data to be migrated from ECC to Snowflake, considering data relevance and business priorities.
  • Develop and implement data transfer processes ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Conduct thorough testing of data migration processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with testing teams if testing responsibilities are delegated separately.
  • Document processes, procedures, and best practices for data transfer and integrity.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance during the data migration phase.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders regularly.
  • Proficiency in AZURE.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with expertise in Snowflake data warehousing platform.
  • Hands-on experience building infrastructure within Snowflake for data transfer and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of data migration principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying within Snowflake.
  • Experience with data integration tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Information

Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
