Our global manufacturing client is seeking a SAP Solution Architect to join their project on a full time permanent basis. Local candidates are preferred, however, any out of town applicants must be willing to travel to Ottawa for at least 2 days a week. Please note all applicants must comply with NATO clearance, which means that they must have been in Canada for greater than 6 consecutive months, over a 10 year period.

• Have a strong understanding of S4 HANA and SAP solutions in Finance, Procurement, and Project Systems (Contract Management).
• Act as a key member of the SAP team, ensuring delivery of the SAP S4 HANA solution in alignment with SAP strategies, designs, and solutions.
• Work with the Service Desk and the SAP team to facilitate incident & problem resolution.
• Work with SAP and third parties to deliver the S4 HANA solution and resolve software bugs when applicable.
• Ensure successful testing and delivery of SAP changes, coordinating the SAP team and relevant business leads.
• Perform break/fix analysis and recommend solutions in all Finance and Contract Management related processes.
• Participate in gathering, blueprinting, and documenting user requirements.
• Ensure compliance to existing and developing data reporting standards.
• Proactively engage with the Solution Architects/Leads to ensure integrity of the SAP Finance and Project Systems configuration/solution future design, and change management.
• Proactively drive data management, maintenance, control, and accuracy.
• Support business implementations, patching and upgrades by sharing best practice support, testing and configuration skills.
• Provide high-level customer engagement when responding to customer incidents, requirements, problem resolution, and process modeling.
• Ensure Service/Incident Management system, knowledge base, and supporting documentation is updated and accurate.
• Conduct configuration changes to accommodate change requests and/or improvements.
• Assist in providing training activities, advice, and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Perform initial testing of incident/problem fixes, change request, enhancements, and new functionality.
• Keep abreast of SAP releases, enhancements, and new functionality.
• Participate in and provide advice on enhancement and new functionality assessments.
• Develop functional specifications in conjunction with BASIS and ABAP teams to complete object development and testing.
• Ensure compliance with NATO Security Clearance requirements - Must have been in Canada for greater than 6 consecutive months, over 10 year period.

• University degree or relevant experience in Finance or Information Management.
• 8-10 years of hands-on SAP S4 HANA Finance, Procurement and Project Systems implementation, configuration, and support experience.
• SAP S/4 HANA Certification in Finance, Procurement and Project Systems.
• Experience providing support and working business process knowledge of master data, GL, AP, AR, Asset accounting, Profit centre accounting, Document splitting and Treasury.
• Proven support and business process knowledge of Procurement, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Material Requirement Planning.
• Proven configuration in SAP Finance, Project Systems, Master Data (Material & Vendor Master), Procurement Process, Account Determination & Valuation of Material, Inventory Management, Invoice Verification and Material Requirement Planning.
• Exceptional understanding of configuration dependencies and integration points between separate functional modules of SAP (PS/FI-CO/MM/HR/PM).
• Experience with integrating business processes for Finance and Procurement with the application, specifically with solving problems and delivery of changes.
• Experience with S4 HANA implementations.
• Integration experience with other SAP Modules/Solutions and Third-Party systems.
• You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.
