Job Description

Our Quebec based client is seeking an experienced Senior (Bilingual) SAP EAM/PM Functional Lead contractor to join their project starting immediately and will run for 6 to 12 months. This will be a remote work setting with occasional travel to client site as needed.

  • The Senior SAP EAM/PM Functional Lead with extensive experience in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) modules, and a deep understanding of business processes. This role requires an individual who can strategically lead the definition and design of solutions in the asset management domain, with a specific focus on Asset Performance Management (APM).
  • The Functional Architect will provide expertise on business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, while leading teams through the design and implementation of SAP-based asset management solutions.
  • Senior-level expertise in SAP EAM/PM with a strong understanding of Asset Performance Management (APM) concepts and business processes.
  • Experience in integrating SAP with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, IoT platforms).
  • Experience working with clients in multiple sectors, especially those requiring complex SAP EAM/PM solutions.
  • APM certification or equivalent.
  • Carry out or collaborate according to the product owner's file, requirements gathering process and management of business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Perform existing system logic analysis and documentation as required for complex systems.
  • Recommend the functional solution after analyzing the IT and technical needs of the users.
  • Responsible or collaborating according to the file, the development validation process carried out according to the acceptance criteria and business rules ensuring a quality product.
  • The quality assurance process: collaborate with the resources responsible for the project to define the test strategy, the execution, the writing of the test cases and the coordination of the overall tests.
  • Write quality functional files (functional documents such as: use cases, epics, stories).
  • Assist users and ensure links with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and support developers in the development of their programs and implement action plans to solve complex problems.
  • Collaborate in the management of the product backlog in JIRA in collaboration with the product owner (RPA/RPT).
  • Participate in design workshops with developers and clients.
  • Design and document mock-ups such as interfaces, reports. Etc..
  • Support the development team, on a daily basis in agile mode, by defining and refining the specifications of the features to be developed.
  • Develop and follow up on the various strategies related to testing, training, implementation, and operational problems of the company's strategic systems.
  • Analyze requests for improvements, corrective requests (bugs) and data corrections.
  • Corrects the application and coordinates the release of new versions.
  • Collaborate on the strategy and definition of security roles applicable to the product.
  • Proven experience as a Functional Lead in large-scale SAP EAM/PM projects, ideally in a senior capacity.
  • Strong understanding of asset management business processes, including preventive maintenance, work order management, and asset life cycle.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, and XRAY for documentation and task management.
  • SQL skills for data analysis and system troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrated experience in agile environments, with a focus on delivering functional specifications and managing the product backlog.
  • Ability to lead workshops and provide training to stakeholders at various levels.
  • JIRA (for backlog and project management).

  • GitHub (for version control).
  • XRAY (for test management).
  • SQL (for system analysis and troubleshooting).
  • Teams (for remote collaboration).
  • Microsoft Office Suite (for documentation and presentations)Desirable Skills but not required.
