Job Description

Our Ontario based client is seeking for an experienced Senior SAP Finance and Controlling (FI/CO) Functional Process Analyst to join their team on a 12 month employment contract. The ideal candidate should have 5 to 7 + years of experience preferably on SAP or any other leading ERP application focusing on maintenance, business analysis, process improvement, and Finance system implementation support. This will be a hybrid role with the exact amount of on-site scheduled days to be confirmed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working with SAP-FICO system functionality and other relevant technologies to optimize processes and improve operational performance. Assess potential efficiency gains and cost savings.
  • Understand FI/CO basic configuration and manage system.
  • Work with the finance department to define and document business requirements for additional financial reports, enhancements, and requirements to address process gaps.
  • Able to forge productive working relationships with senior business users and business managers and acquire subject matter expertise efficiently. Able to work with all levels of the organization including presenting to senior business users and managers.
  • Analyze potential cost savings and benefits to implementing SAC, Makira OCR tool and determine if we should implement.
  • Developing and implementing solutions to streamline financial processes, process integration, and enhance overall system performance.
  • Ability to analyze complex cross-functional business processes, identify gaps, and define functional and integration requirements.
  • Work with finance department to assess, define and document business requirements for new Finance functionality, SAC Budgeting and Planning, Maikira based on SAP road map.
  • Train and support knowledge transfer for Finance System Analyst.
  • Optimize finance integration process surrounding deductions and dispute management, MCBs, KPDs,.
  • Create and manage business documentation including reference guides, current and future state process maps, user stories, business requirement document, functional requirement document and system requirement specifications.
  • Make recommendations on leveraging and unlocking functionality within the module that has not been explored and where necessary identify enhancements required.
  • Provide support to end user community by working independently. Responsible for resolving system (SAP) and related business process issues logged by end users in ticketing system.
  • Ability to analyze complex cross-functional business processes, identify gaps, and define functional and integration requirements.
  • Working with various functional teams, including finance, sales, brand, trade and promotions, IT, and management teams, to implement changes and ensure smooth operation.
  • Communicate with business SMEs to ensure expectations are kept in line with operations excellence.
  • Drives the definition, testing, training, and implementation of functional requirements.
  • Support and coordinate user acceptance testing.
  • Support the development of training materials and execution. Upon implementation, drives knowledge transfer to ERP production support.
  • Develop presentations for senior management to facilitate discussions on project or program progress, results, and assistance needed from them.
  • Knowledge of EDI and multi system integration functioning will be advantageous. 

 

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or financial management, or related discipline or equivalent years of experience in finance and related reporting functions must be for this role.
  • Certification on SAP FICO module must have requirement. 

Additional Information

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
