Our Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Program Manager to join their project immediately for a one-year contract with the possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 + years of experience with a strong focus on SAP program management, specifically in planning the design and implementation of SAP S/4HANA with a proven track record of successfully delivering at least two large-scale SAP projects and at least one on SAP RISE, including S/4HANA transformations, across complex environments. The candidate must also possess a deep understanding of SAP modules, core processes, and the broader ERP application ecosystem including BTP and cloud migration strategies as well as expertise in program and project management methodologies like Agile and Waterfall, with hands-on experience leading large-scale programs. This will be a hybrid role with the exact amount of on-site days to be confirmed.

Planning & Execution:
- Orchestrate the day-to-day delivery of a full-scale transformation from an SAP ECC landscape to SAP Cloud Solutions, ensuring program scope, timelines, and outcomes are aligned with business objectives.
- Develop and manage the integrated program plan across all workstreams (e.g., Business Process, Technical, Data) in collaboration with internal resources and an external System Integrator.
- Lead scope and timeline discussions to build a comprehensive and realistic program plan.
- Collaborate with the Business Process Integration Lead to understand the business process hierarchy and future process design requirements.
- Partner with the Technical Lead to ensure the successful delivery of all technical aspects of the program.
- Work with the PMO to develop stage gate materials, including program scope, integrated plan, and business case, to secure approval for progression to subsequent project phases.
- Ensure compliance with SAP best practices, security standards, and relevant governance policies.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Proactively identify, track, and mitigate program risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery, in alignment with PMO-governed processes.
- Escalate critical issues to executive leadership and the PMO Lead in a timely manner.
- Partner with the Project Interface Manager and Organizational Change Management (OCM) team to resolve change-related risks and interface issues.
Reporting & Communication:
- Provide regular, transparent status updates on progress, risks, and dependencies to the leadership team and key stakeholders.
- Supply the PMO with necessary information to support governance and regular steering committee meetings.
- Effectively present program information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Team Leadership & Advisory:
- Act as a trusted advisor to the program leadership team, leveraging deep S/4HANA program management experience.
- Influence and guide internal and external teams to deliver the program on schedule and within the approved budget.
- Provide inspirational, informal leadership to diverse, hybrid project teams, including internal resources and offshore external consultants.
- Key Deliverables for the Planning Phase
- Development of the comprehensive SAP program integrated plan (roadmap) in collaboration with the broader project team and System Integrator.
- Support the development of all stage gate materials required to secure approval for progression from the planning to the design phase.
